Discover the BEST brunch in Dallas, TX! Whether you’re feeling a Parisian chic atmosphere complete with trendy cocktails or a casual retro vibe where you can tackle a stack of pancakes…Dallas has a spot for you.
It may come as a bit of a surprise that I live in Dallas, TX considering I have written zero posts about this city. I guess now is a good a time as any to start…especially since I’ve spent considerably more time at home due to COVID. Why not start with one of the most popular pastimes in Dallas…brunch!
I always joke that when people visit Jake and I, our time is planned around meals, drinks, and shopping…those are pretty much the main activities here. 100% serious. Brunch is basically an institution in Dallas. I’m here to make sure you experience the best of the best and bypass all the rest.
Whether you’re looking for glam, healthy, Parisienne chic, or just a killer patio…I’ve got the perfect spot for you. These restaurants offer the absolute best brunch in Dallas, TX and are the top places to enjoy a delicious meal with a superb atmosphere.
1. Mercat Bistro
One of the best Dallas brunch spots for a cozy bistro atmosphere and a one-of-a-kind brunch cocktail
Mercat Bistro has been a long time favorite of mine. It’s usually one of the first restaurants I book when I have visitors for the weekend. This Dallas brunch spot ticks all the boxes.
The menu is scrumptious, the coffee drinks are top-notch, the Parisian chic atmosphere is charming, and the service is always outstanding. There is also patio seating (both covered and not) for when the weather is nice.
Another reason Mercat Bistro earns a spot for the best breakfast in Dallas is their famous Péché Mignon. It’s a unique cocktail complete with a giant ice ball filled with muddled fruit, orange juice, and topped with champagne. This drink is so fun and perfect for a long brunch as you can top off the slowly melting fruit ball with champagne. In fact, this drink has become so popular it was featured in USA Today!
The quiche Lorraine is my absolute favorite dish here. I also enjoy the green chili crepes, ricotta and honey, and eggs benedict.
Breakfast is served on weekdays from 7:00am to 10:30 am. Brunch is served on weekends from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
2. PARADISO
One of the best Dallas brunch spots for patio weather
Paradiso is a new go-to of mine. And not just for brunch, but for dinner as well. The servers know Jake and I well as we are here several times a month…though I think Bailey, our little rescue dog, is their favorite.
Even if the food was mediocre, which it’s not, it would be hard for me not to include Paradiso on the list of the best brunch places in Dallas based off the atmosphere alone. It’s incredible! Whoever designed the space is a mastermind.
Paradiso also become a staple during the pandemic because their patio is, dare I say it, the best patio in all of Dallas? Lanterns swing from the tree branches, a fountain trinkles in the center, and the BoHo styled tables and chairs complete an artfully designed space.
The hummus is a must. And that’s coming from someone who never orders hummus at a restaurant unless I’m in Greece. In fact, sometimes I seriously consider ordering it as my main because sharing as an appetizer just wasn’t enough. The pita is pillowy perfection.
The avocado toast is simple but delicious. Order the shoulder hash for a carb friendly option. Or, throw diet to the wind a get the short stack or French toast. You won’t regret it and it’s worth the calories.
Brunch is offered Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
3. Boulevardier
One of the best brunch places in Dallas for upscale French cuisine and a killer burger
If you’re looking for upscale French cooking, head to Boulevardier. The menu is outstanding and I’ve never left disappointed.
The burger is crave-worthy. I usually rotate between that and the legs and eggs dish. A crisp duck confit leg with sunny-side up eggs, stone-ground grit cakes, and huckleberry preserves. The crispy smashed fingerling hash and black truffle eggs are also very good.
Brunch is currently served on Sundays only from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
4. HG Sply Co.
One of the best brunch places in Dallas for a paleo, KETO, or low-carb diet
HG Sply Co. is the best breakfast in Dallas for those looking for paleo, keto, and carb friendly dishes. I absolutely love the “build your own bowl” option where you pick your protein, two bases and a sauce/extra. I typically choose the quinoa “meatballs” for my protein, honey garlic brussels and sweet potato hash for my sides, and top it all off with the smashed avocado.
If you don’t like creating your own dish, there are several bowls on the menu to choose from including a fried cauliflower rice and stir-fry bowl. All are delicious.
Some of my favorite breakfast items are the huevos rancheros and sausage breakfast tacos. The avocado toast is one of my favorites in the city. You really can’t go wrong with the menu at HG Sply Co. as the ingredients are top notch.
Brunch is offered on weekends from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
5. Snooze Eatery
One of the best Dallas brunch spots for a creative twist on breakfast classics
Snooze Eatery offers the best breakfast in Dallas for those looking for a traditional (and non-traditional) morning feast. And the best part? Breakfast items are served all days of the week and all hours of the day...so go ahead and hit that snooze button on your alarm (pun intended).
“Creative twists on breakfast” pretty much sums up the menu. Feeling traditional eggs benedict? Great! They have the original recipe…or try one of the five variations. The Lox-n-Latke Benny is divine. Crispy latkes are topped with smoked salmon, eggs, cream cheese hollandaise, fried capers and pickled onions.
The pancake selection will have your mouth watering in seconds. Pineapple upside down, sweet potato, blueberry Danish, marshmallow hot chocolate, coffee and donuts…and the best part is if you can’t decide which to pick, order a pancake flight with any three flavors.
Bloody Mary’s, avocado toast, breakfast tacos…all the regulars can be found at Snooze AM Eatery. If you wake up too late for breakfast, it’s no problem. Breakfast is served all day every day at this Dallas breakfast joint.
I do need to give a full disclaimer. Snooze Eatery is a chain…which I normally avoid at all costs. This breakfast spot is an exception to the rule. The food and creativity are so outstanding it warrants overlooking the chain status. In fact, I love Snooze so much I included it on my best breakfast in Scottsdale, AZ blog post.
